Description
Sepia tone photograph of Minnie Given from Everett, Massachusetts, visiting Maine during the summer. Minnie sits in the grass leaning against a group of boulders beside a small evergreen tree. She wears a long, dark skirt and light-colored blouse with a black choker. She holds her hat on her head by the brim. The late-Victorian era hat is elaborately decorated with silk flowers and bows, as well as possibly a bird wing. A lighthouse is visible on a point of land in the distance, though the location is unidentified. 1890-1900.
