Description
Over-exposed black and white photograph of two men dressed in dark trench coats and hats on the open-air stage at the Underwood Theater in Falmouth Foreside. Underwood Spring Park served as a pleasure resort during the late 19th and early 20th century with a view of Casco Bay. The theatre was built in 1899 and burned only eight years later in 1907. The structure was never rebuilt. The amphitheater features an arch supported by four columns. Tiered seating is visible in the foreground. circa 1900-1907. (See also p07880) See NA2462.
