Description
Color photograph of an interactive map display at the Maine Lobster Festival, Rockland, Maine, August 3, 1996. The display asks festival attendees, "Where are you from?" with a large map of the United States and images of flags from a number of international countries. The map is marked with push pins added by festival goers, showing their places of origin. The map is most heavily marked along the east coast from Maine to Virginia and Florida. Navada is the only state lacking a push pin at the time the photograph was taken.
