Abstract
This article provides an overview of historical opinions on the likelihood of French involvement on behalf of Native Americans in King Philip's War. In particular a letter written on September 15, 1676 from Joshua Scottow and Henry Jocelyn to Governor John Leverett is analyzed as possible evidence of French involvement. The cited had recently be acquired by the Maine Historical Society.
