Bay gelding, Bell Boy wearing head number four, Vic Flemming up, claimed the race in a time of 1.54 1/4. Bay stallion Signal Hanover wearing head number nine, Berry up, finished in second place. Brown stallion Saratoga, Vineyard up, showed in third place.
