Hanafin up, winning the second heat of the 2.11 Class Pace on Thursday, July 18, 1940, at the One Mile Kite Track at Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Hartford Peter took the heat in a time of 2.04 1/4. Black gelding Guy J. wearing saddle number six, E. Jone up, was close on Hartford Peter's heels at the finish.
