Black and white action photograph of black mare Glorious Dawn (on the rail) wearing head number five, E. Jones up, wins the first race of the day, Saturday, July 6, 1940 at Narragansett Park on the Gorham Fair Grounds. She claimed first place with a time of 2.14 1/4 and was trailed by bay gelding Peter Berne, Coville up, in second place.
