Sepia tone photograph of bay gelding, Walter Ra wearing head number one, Maher up for the first half of the Daily Double on Saturday, August 5, 1939 at the Little Grand Circuit Meet of Cumberland, West Cumberland, Maine. Walter Ra was the winner of the first heat of the 2.12 Bar Pace. Rain after the third race of the day caused the rest of the ticket to be cancelled. Photographer Guy Kendall signed the photograph in the lower left corner.
