Black and white finish line photograph of the field of horses in the second half of the Saturday, September 17, 1938 Daily Double at the Oxford County Agriculture Society in South Paris, Maine. The close finish was lead by bay mare, Miss Dodge, Jordan up, in first; bay mare, Symbol Lucy, Burlingame up placing second; bay mare, Streamline, Day up showing in third; bay stallion, Colonel Crogan, Patterson up showing in fourth; and brown gelding, Peter Simmons, Hall up, crossing the line in fifth place.
