Black and white photograph of bay mare Crescent Signal, Phillips up, dashing for the finish line in the Classified Pace at the Cornish Early Meet in Cornish, Maine on Tuesday, June 28, 1938. Crescent Signal claimed first place followed by Signal Rule in second and Hal B. Laurel in third. Other finishers in the race were Barney Hanover and Maude Hanover.
