Grand Circuit Meet
Sepia tone action photo of the field of horses approaching the finish line at the Grand Circuit Meet races, Saturday, July 24, 1937 at the 1 Mile Kite Track at Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Symbol Green, wearing head number seven, won one of two heats during the contest, according to Kendall's notes. Symbol Green appears on the far right of the photograph with white stockings on his rear legs and facial markings that include a small star and stripe. The race score card is currently missing from Kendall's photo album documenting the event, therefore the race, driver, and remainder of the field is unidentified at present.
