Black and white action photo of bay stallion, Sam Hanover, A. Pratt up, winning the 2.24 Class Pace at the Old Orchard Beach Kite Track on Monday, July 27, 1936 with a time of 2.05 3/4. Finishing in second place (blocked by Sam Hanover in this photo) was Virginia Hanover. Hal Volo, wearing saddle number 10, appearing along the rail, finished the race in third place. The photograph is signed in the lower left corner by photographer Guy Kendall.
