Black and white action photo of the first heat of the Free-for-All Trot at the Western Maine Agricultural Exposition, Wednesday, July 18, 1934, Narragansett Park at the Gorham Fair Grounds, Gorham, Maine. Thrustfast driven by Michaud, finished in first place in the heat but dropped to a third place finish in the second and third heats of the contest. John Roland, who finished third in the first heat came back to place first in the final two heats, claiming the $100 purse.
