Abstract
The official program for the Wednesday, October 23, 1940 Over-Coat harness racing meet at the Narragansett Park in Gorham, Maine. The program was printed by Pine Tree Press in Auburn, Maine. The cover of the program includes the names of race officials including Starting Judge Howard McKenney; Judges Dr. John A. Stevens and Glenn W. Rublee; and Mutuels Director Frank R. Witman. The names of Maine State Racing Commission members Miles B. Mank, William A. Lumb, and Harold O. Pelley are also listed on the program cover. The program cover also includes a summary of the horses in the Daily Double. Inside the program, Kendall recorded the official times, changes in the field of horses or drivers, and order of finish for each race. Kendall also noted that all contests after the fourth race were cancelled due to rain.
