Abstract

The official race program for the Monday, Sept. 18, 1939 meeting of the Cumberland Fair Races. The races were staged at the fair grounds track in West Cumberland, Maine. The program includes the names of race day officials and a summary of the Daily Double on the front cover. The card includes information about parimutual betting rules and regulations. The program also includes Guy Kendall's notes on changes in the race lineups, including the finish times. Kendall also noted his bets and winnings during the day including noting on the program cover that he hit the Daily Double, winning $24.70.
