Description

The record group contains applications for the University of Maine Presidential Research and Creative Achievement Award, Regular Faculty Research Award, Summer Faculty Research Fund Award, and Scientific Equipment and Book Fund Award. The Presidential Research and Creative Achievement Award was created in 1974 for a University of Maine faculty member for distinguished research achievement. The award was initially for $1,500 per year. The Faculty Research Committee was asked to make three nominations for the president's consideration. The award winner was announced at the annual Honors Banquet.
