Abstract

This thesis is a collection of poems written over the course of the two-year degree program. The collection demonstrates the growth of the author by the inclusion of works created in the beginning of the program to the pieces written in the final semester. The first part of the thesis is comprised of many of the poems written throughout the two-year period. The second part of the thesis contains an entire series of poems written while taking thesis credits and working closely with the thesis advisor. Together, these parts demonstrate the author's range and the significant growth within the two-year degree program.
