Project Abstract/ Summary
The fall Series is projected to comprise eight CA/DlS-supported events featuring six poets and two fiction writers whose work covers a wide spectrum of contemporary literary practice. As you will see from the capsule biographies of all eight writers that are appended to this letter, this is a stellar line-up, including a MacArthur grant recipient (George Saunders), many nationally known poets from a diverse range of backgrounds and with a wide range of interests (art criticism, Darwin, Melville...) and several writers who quite simply deserve to be better known.
