Abstract/ Summary

The catalog for the University of Maine for 1900-1901 includes course descriptions and names of instructors for all areas of instruction, along with information about the establishment of the university, its Board of Trustees, endowment, and income. In addition, this edition includes a list of the members of the advisory board for the School of Law, the Experiment Station Council, standing committees of the faculty, a section on military instruction, and reflects the organization of academic departments into five different colleges: Arts and Sciences; Agriculture; Engineering; Pharmacy; and the School of Law.

The year's catalog includes illustrations of the Drill Hall and Gymnasium (later known as Alumni Hall), Wingate Hall, the Observatory, Oak Hall, and the Mount Vernon House.
