Abstract/ Summary
A happy fall semester from the McGillicuddy Humanities Center! Classes have not quite begun in Orono but the Center’s annual Symposium for 2024-2025 is already officially underway. Our theme, “From Talkies to TikTok: 100 Years of Audiovisual Storytelling,” will bring artists, scholars, and performers to campus to explore with our community the contours of culture—aural, visual, and otherwise—over the last century.
