Description
Elizabeth Abbott Balentine - After her husband, Walter Balentine, died suddenly in 1894, the university gave her a temporary job as a clerk. She became treasurer of the college briefly, then secretary to the faculty and finally the registrar in 1912. She served the university for 20 years.
