Description
An image scanned from a black and white photograph with a handwritten caption on the back added by Maine author and folklorist Fannie Hardy Eckstorm that appears to read, "Old Town landing from Old Town (Indian) Island."
Buildings and houses of Old Town are visible on the far side of the Penobscot River, including the building that over time has been the Old Town Woolen Mills, Old Town Shoe Company, and Penobscot River House apartments.
