Description

Sepia tone photograph mounted inside the race program for the Western Maine Agricultural Exposition, Gorham, Maine, August 1932 that is identified by Guy Kendall as, "A July Workout — Uncle Abe and Miss Melbert." The horses are pacing on a dirt track with grandstands in the background. The location of the track is unknown. Neither Uncle Abe nor Miss Melbert appear listed in race programs for day one or two of the Western Maine Agricultural Exposition.
