Description
Sepia tone photo of bay gelding, Senator Volo, C. McAtee up, finishing second in the first heat of the 2.20 Class trot at the Grand Circuit Meet, Rockingham Park, Salem N.H., August 1, 1932. Senator Volo came back to claim first in the following two heats, claiming the $1,000 purse. The race track scoreboard, race clock, and finish line marker can be seen in the background of the photo. Other horses in the image are Neil Brooke in first and Worthy Heir in third.
