Description

Black and white action photo of the first heat of the 2.22 Stake Trot August 20, 1931 at the Skowhegan State Fair. Top Worthy was driven to a first place win in three straight heats by Pierce Chappelle. Bay gelding Rance, owner/driver Henry Clukey up finished the heat second before being disqualified in the second heat. Brown gelding Calmet Amoret driven by Myrer is seen finishing third in this heat followed by Bither and Hiram Dillon.
