Description

Black and white photo of the start of the 2.08 Class pace on July 4, 1931 at the Bay State Circuit, Sage Park, Windsor, Connecticut. Closest to the camera's vantage point is bay gelding Prince driven by W. Hodson wearing number two. On the far right of the photo is the bay Cold Cash driven by W. Britenfield wearing number 4. Cold Cash went on to win all three heats of the 2.18 and take the $1,000 purse.
