Black and white action photo of Miss Volodale, Safford up, leading a field of five in the Free-For-All Trot and Pace at the Maine State Fair Summer Race Meet on Thursday, July 16, 1936 at the State Fair Grounds, Lewiston, Maine. Miss Volodale claimed the race in 2.07. Other horses in the field include Rip Hanover placing in second; Lu Barient showing in third; May E. Gratton finising in fourth; and Calumet Dubuque in fifth place. The photograph is signed in the lower right corner by photographer Guy Kendall.
