Description
Black and white photo of bay gelding Harry Putnam driven by Chappell in the 2.12 Pace at the Central Maine Fair Races, Waterville, Maine on Sept. 1, 1926. Harry Putnam was favored to win among the four starters and took the purse in three straight heats. Jack Grattan driven by Evans placed second, Northern Mac driven by Waite finished third with Dewey finishing in the fourth slot. Seen in the background is the top of the carousel and ferris wheel.
