Abstract

The official score card for the Tuesday, July 28, 1936 races at the Old Orchard Beach One Mile Kite Track, Old Orchard Beach, Maine. The card includes the names of the officers of the Old Orchard Beach Mile Track Association. The card includes Guy Kendall's handwritten notations regarding race results and changes in the field. Kendall notes that a new track record was set in the fifth race of the day by Calumet Evelyn with a time of 2.01 1/4.

1936 marks the first year of pari-mutuel betting on races at the Old Orchard track. It is also the first year, according to the contents of Kendall's photo albums, that the photographer has covered races at the track.
