Abstract

Trott's Official Score Card for the Monday, June 30, 1930 Bay State Circuit races at Sage Park Windsor, Conn. The Bay State Circuit, which formed in 1911, were staged at only tracks in New England. Other race locations included Northampton, Sturbridge, Avon, Springfield, Greenfield, and Catham.

This score card was originally priced at 15-cents and includes the names of race officials and Guy Kendall's handwritten notes recording race details. Kendall also mounted a photo on the interior of the program. The score card was printed by Trott Brothers of Boston, Mass.

Frank G. Trott was an agent with Hartford Live Stock Insurance Co., selling insurance coverage for race horses but was also a reporter covering harness racing for The Boston Globe from 1896-1949. A Frank Trott advertisement to "Insure Your Horses ... Against Death" appears on the back page of the score card.
