Project Abstract/ Summary
The Three Bands concert is an event that brings nearly 1000 people to campus to see performances by the University of Maine Concert Band alongside the bands of two local schools. This year the concert will take place at the Collins Center for the Arts on March 22, 2011, and we are requesting funding to bring in a guest conductor for this event. We propose to bring Dr. Andrew Trachsel of Ohio University during the week before the concert to work with each of the three bands. We have attached a biography of Dr. Trachsel as background information for this proposal.
