Project Abstract/ Summary
This proposal is a collaboration between the Intermedia MFA and the Department of Att. 'We are seeking Cultural Affairs/Distinguished Lecture Series funds to support a guest lecture as well as classroom visits by Dr. Graeme Sullivan (Director, School of Visual Art at The Pennsylvania State University). Sullivan is the author of Art Practice as Research: Inquiry in Visual Arts (2"d edition, 2010) and one of the country's leading scholars on arts-based research as well as art education. Sullivan's primary research focuses on critical-reflexive thinking processes, specifically those associated with visual arts inquiry and practice. We have attached a brief "bio-statement" and condensed CV to provide a more in-depth portrait of his academic and artistic engagements.
