Project Abstract/ Summary
Bruno Campo is the conductor, founder, and director of music programs of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra and School in Guatemala. What is his connection to the University of Maine? The relationship started two years ago when UMaine Professor of Music Anatole Wieck was invited to the country to help nurture a newly founded youth orchestra. As a Fulbright Senior Specialist, Wieck spent three weeks in the country, establishing such a strong connection that Campo invited him to return to Guatemala during his sabbatical last year.
