Project Abstract/ Summary
The University of Maine Chemistry Department and the Center for Science and Mathematics Education Research (CSMER) request funding to help support the visit of one of several Chemical Education Scholars in the Spring of 2003. Dr. Robert Lichter of Merrimack Consulting will be kicking off the series with a public talk entitle d,, The Future of Scholarship ß All of Us, at 1:10 PM on April 4,2003 in 316 Aubert Hall. We believe that his talk will be of interest to a broader community and we also anticipate that this presentation will be of some use in creating awareness of the need and impact of a diverse faculty in the sciences. Dr. Lichter will also visit with faculty and students of the Department of Chemistry and other departments participating in CSMER to discuss their projects.
